GND Tree Surgery‘s experienced and certified arborists will care for your trees. We provide our private and commercial clients with the best tree care services.
Our primary role is to maintain the health and safety of trees. We do this by pruning, removing, planting trees, and diagnosing and treating tree diseases and pests. In addition, we assess the structural identity of trees, identify potential hazards, and recommend appropriate actions to prevent damage to property, utilities, and personal injury.
We use a wide range of tools and equipment, including chainsaws, ladders, ropers and safety gear. We have chippers, grinders and all the mechanical equipment needed to fell and remove trees quickly and safely.
Tree pruning is a necessary service that tree surgeons provide to maintain the health and appearance of trees. Sometimes referred to as pollarding or crowning, pruning promotes new growth. Removing the upper branches of a tree helps restrict its height and encourages new shoots to grow from the trunk. This is a method often used for street trees, trees in parks and private gardens.
Pollarding and lifting the crown is undertaken during the winter to reduce the risk of damage to the tree and allow it to heal before the next growing season. Benefits include promoting the life of the tree, managing its size and creating a more attractive shape.
Homeowners can rest assured that any lopping or crowning is undertaken professionally and that the tree will recover its health. If you would like a quote, please contact us or call 07470 094845.
We offer a tree lopping and felling service to remove trees and/or branches that pose a risk to people or property. This is a specialised job that requires a high level of expertise, skill and specialised equipment. We offer a range of services for all types of trees, from large, mature trees to small, young saplings.
We will undertake a survey to assess the tree or trees, the location and the risk to people and property and decide the best way to fell the tree safely. The process typically involves the use of a chainsaw and other powered tools. Dependent upon the complexity and size it can take from a few hours to perhaps a couple of days to complete. Once the tree has been felled, we can dispose of the tree in a responsible manner. Younger branches may be chipped, and the larger ones used for logs dependent upon the variety of the tree and whether it is diseased. Any diseased trees will be disposed of responsibly.
Stump grinding is a process used to remove tree stumps after a tree has been cut down. It’s an effective and efficient way to remove tree stumps, as it eliminates the need for digging or heavy machinery. Stump grinding also helps to prevent regrowth from the roots, which can be a problem with other methods of stump removal.
We use a stump grinder to chip away at the wood, turning the tree stump into small wood chips. Once the grinding is complete, the wood chips can be used as mulch, or we can remove them from the site.
GND Tree Surgery is fully licensed and insured for £10 million. We have experience in felling all types of trees, and our team is trained in safe practices and health and safety. We are very conscious of the environment and ensure the tree work is carried out with minimal disruption to neighbouring properties.
We will provide you with a detailed estimate of the costs associated with the job, including labour, removal of debris and any stump grinding costs. Contact us today.
