Emergency tree services and tree removal

Trees are essential to our environment, but sometimes there is a need to remove them urgently due to the risks they pose to the public, buildings, utilities or vehicles.

Trees are essential to the environment, providing oxygen, cooling the air, combating climate change, and providing wildlife habitat. However, there can be times when it is necessary to remove dead or dangerous trees, trim overgrown trees and work quickly and efficiently in emergencies to complete the work safely and avoid costly damage or even injury.

Dying, dead or hazardous tree removal

Trees may need to be removed for safety reasons, such as when they become unstable or pose a hazard to property or people. They may also need to be removed if they are diseased or have been damaged by storms.

Ash Dieback

The disease Ash Dieback is an example of a situation where tree removal is necessary. Ash Die Back is caused by a fungal pathogen called Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. This pathogen affects ash trees, causing them to lose leaves prematurely, form lesions on the bark, and eventually die. Felling infected trees is the only way to stop the spread of the disease, as there is no known cure.

Dutch Elm Disease

Dutch elm disease is another example of a situation where felling trees is necessary. Dutch elm disease is caused by an insect called the elm bark beetle. This beetle carries the fungus Ophiostoma ulmi, which infects elm trees, causing them to wilt and eventually die. Felling diseased elm trees is the only way to stop the spread of the disease, as there is no known cure.

Hazardous trees

Finally, tree removal may be necessary if the tree is creating an unsafe environment, such as blocking visibility or creating a hazard for drivers. This is especially true in areas where the tree is close to a road or footpath or in a public place with a lot of footfall, such as a park or playground.
