Agricultural fencing

This project was to erect stock fencing in a field to keep in pigs and sheep.

This was a large field in Plumpton, East Sussex where the landowner wanted to fence off an area of the field to act as a safe area for pigs and sheep.

Erecting fencing for stock requires careful planning and execution to ensure the safety and security of the animals. When it comes to pigs and sheep, there were a few things we had to keep in mind.

The fencing needed to be sturdy and durable. Woven wire fencing needs to be stretched correctly when it is installed, and the wire mesh must have small enough gaps to prevent the sheep getting their heads stuck.

We made sure the fence was properly tensioned and anchored to withstand the weight and pressure of the animals. Install ed sturdy posts at regular intervals and use tension wires to keep the fence taut. It was important that the pigs and sheep stay safe and secure within their designated area. A galvanised gate was added for tractor access.
